This is incorrect and only makes sense if the sentence is split as follows: HAYFIELD WATER SUPPLY (improvements) 1. 6 inch main was laid from Kinder Bank Supply Tank to Jumble. 2. Balance Tank built at Morland Road with a 3 inch main to existing supply.
* Jumble is an area of Hayfield at the bottom of Kinder Road near the junction of Spring Vale Road.

Nora lived at Morland Cottage and appears to be referring to a tank installed on the opposite side of the road to one of her fields. Was a 3" main laid from the Hayfield (Harrymoor) main in New Mills road to supply a 'Balance' Tank?
