The Lido was thought to be constructed in the late 1920s, and was originally used by members of a Country Club and later opened to the pubic in about 1938. It was damaged in the floods of 1947 but remained in use until the 1960s. This may have been originally the site of a reservoir built by Mr Sumner to supply Little Hayfield.
