Says Paul Medley - 'I think the photograph dates back to the North Derbyshire Water Board days and is probably circa 1970 when the Manton Colliery water supply scheme was inaugurated. Obviously most of the people are Board members including the chairman, Councillor Rosling who is cutting the tape. I am standing between Peter Davey and Charles Crombie ( Engineer and Manager at the time). I think the photo is taken at Sparken Hill Plantation where we built the main pumping station for the scheme."
