This is the so called 'large' tank is not very far up from the road. It is the first reservoir to be built on Kinder Bank and and was completed in 1903. Unfortunately it was not high enough to supply all of Hayfield and when Little Hayfield was wanting water from the Harrymoor Spring another reservoir had to be further up the bank.
